The wines date from the 1999 to 2006 vintages, and have all been carefully cellared in a custom-built climate-controlled wine cellar. The regions include the Barossa Valley, the Margaret River, Coonawarra and the Yarra Valley. These wines are valued at between $20 and $50 each. Wines at these price points are in the market segment known as ultra-premiums, just below the top 'icon' tier populated by the likes of Penfolds Grange and Henschke Hill of Grace.
Each case contains twelve different wines. You will also receive a special bonus – the Wine Australia Pocket Guide.
The Wine Australia Pocket Guide provides a detailed outline of key red and white wine varieties and their characteristics (22 varieties in total), with wine-maker quotes commenting on the style of the variety. The Guide also includes a summary page of each State, detailing the wine regions it contains, and geographical information.
